Description:

This position supports cross-functional business systems initiatives, helps i3D adopt and govern AI tools in a secure and controlled way, and assists the General Manager and Integration Team with CMMC compliance certification and ongoing compliance maintenance. The IT & Automation Manager provides day-to-day technical support across departments, drives process improvement through technology, and participates in business systems projects such as Epicor and IMPACT alongside other enterprise platforms.

I3D contracts with CMIT, an outside IT vendor, for IT support. This position is intended to provide additional support and facilitate helpdesk tickets and projects sourced to the outside vendor.

Requirements:

Business Systems Support

• Participate in the use, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of company business systems, including Epicor, IMPACT, and future enterprise platforms.

• Support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, data management, testing, and user adoption initiatives as part of a broader project team.

• Work cross-functionally to identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiencies through technology solutions.

• Assist with development and maintenance of system procedures, workflows, and user documentation.

Liaison with Outside IT Support

• Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and software partners.

• Assist with technology projects, implementations, and process improvements.

• Track CMIT support tickets, project tasks, and resolution timelines.

• Support procurement of IT equipment and software licenses.

• Ensure CMIT provides onboarding and offboarding technology support for employees in a timely manner.

• Hands-on support for basic day-to-day IT needs internally (password resets, printer/peripheral issues, software access, minor troubleshooting), escalating to CMIT as needed

• Prompt, hands-on availability to executives for IT support and troubleshooting

Security & Compliance

• Assist with user access management and security permissions.

• Support training, implementation, and enforcement of CMMC requirements and other IT-related policies. Assist the General Manager and Integration Team with CMMC certification preparation, documentation, implementation activities, and ongoing compliance maintenance requirements.

• Help maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Report potential security concerns or system vulnerabilities, including risks introduced by new AI tools.

• Maintain inventory of IT hardware and software licenses; track equipment assignment and returns.

AI Enablement & Governance

• Serve as a key point of contact for evaluating and introducing AI tools and use cases across the company in a controlled, secure manner.

• Partner with department leaders to identify practical AI applications that improve efficiency and help pilot and roll out approved tools.

• Help establish and maintain AI usage guidelines, approval workflows, and data-handling safeguards consistent with company policy and CMMC/ITAR requirements.

• Provide training and user support to help employees adopt AI tools effectively and responsibly.

• Monitor emerging AI capabilities and vendors, and recommend solutions aligned with business needs and security posture.

Automation & Process Improvement
