We are seeking a Technical Transition Manager – IT Support & Knowledge Transfer to join our team. This role will involve leading and coordinating IT technical support transitions, managing knowledge transfer activities, and ensuring operational readiness across technical teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT transition management, Azure cloud environments, vendor coordination, and enterprise application support and a passion for driving successful IT modernization initiatives and operational excellence.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Transition and Knowledge Transfer Manager to support a large-scale IT modernization initiative. This role will oversee the planning and execution of technical support transition activities and ensure effective knowledge transfer from vendor teams to internal technical staff.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical leaders, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to operational support while maintaining security, compliance, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of the IT technical support transition plan and provide progress updates to leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison between system integrators, internal IT teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage knowledge transfer processes, documentation standards, and vendor exit requirements.
  • Ensure operational readiness, security compliance, and disaster recovery preparedness.
  • Identify risks, manage issues, and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and technical transition activities.
  • Facilitate communication across project managers, technical teams, and leadership.
  • Assign and track project tasks while resolving or escalating issues.
  • Review transition documentation and present findings to technical leadership.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and stand-ups.
  • Collaborate with developers, SMEs, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of IT experience with technical transition management or program management.
  • 3–5+ years in IT management, infrastructure/application operations, or technical program leadership.
  • Strong understanding of .NET application architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and operational monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of ITIL-based service management processes (incident, problem, and change management).
  • Experience managing vendor transitions and knowledge transfer to internal IT teams.
  • Understanding of cloud migration or on-prem to cloud transitions.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, vendor management, and risk management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional technical teams.
