Job description

As a member of the UBI team, this position is to assist the V.P. Information Technology with the processes of information technology, network administration and data processing. Assists with the various daily operations in the data processing department. Regularly required to travel to bank branch locations to performs computer and printer diagnostics and maintenance bank-wide. Installs hardware and software on bank computers and assist with staff training. Sells and promotes all bank services in such a way as to enhance the bank's image within the community.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 year Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field of study from an accredited college, community college or trade school.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Strong reading, writing and verbal skills to effectively design reports, respond to questions, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages.

Ability to work with formulas when designing computer reports

REASONING ABILITY:

Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals), and procedures

Understand and carry out written and verbal instructions

Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information

Recognize and reconcile problems requiring a good understanding of computer technology

OTHER SKILLS:

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers

Ten-key skills for proofing operations and data entry
