Job Description

The Student Administrative Assistant position provides essential programmatic support to
Campus Life for its events throughout the year. It also allows the office to maintain a basic level
of functioning in maintaining consistent communications with the broader campus and greater
community, as well as providing consistent and reliable services to students and student
organizations.


Student Administrative Assistants are responsible for:

  • Staffing the Christensen Center Student Lounge in addition to checking out Campus Life equipment to students, staff, and faculty, and maintaining the general upkeep of the lounge.
  • Encouraging the respectful and proper use of Student Lounge furniture and enforcing the Student Lounge policies.
  • Performing and implementing administrative and programmatic duties for Campus Life, including answering and returning emails and customer relations.
  • Coordinating and administering student organization and Act Six Scholarship programming, including Student Leadership Institute, and Student Leadership Awards,ย Student Involvement Fairs (fall and spring).

Work-study eligible students welcome.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Rate of Pay: $16.45/hour
  • Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
  • Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave
  • Not eligible for health insurance benefits
Qualifications
  • Enrolled or in the process of enrolling at Augsburg University
  • Must have FAFSA completed or waived if eligible for student employment otherwise.
