Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Director of IT Operations to lead and scale our multi-branch engineering and installation teams. This role combines technical leadership, team development, and operational oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality IT service delivery and excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team across multiple locations
  • Serve as both a people leader and senior technical escalation point
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, security, cloud systems, and end-user support
  • Drive ticket, project, and installation execution to meet KPIs, SLAs, and revenue goals
  • Build and standardize processes, policies, and workflows (including Autotask/PSA tools)
  • Develop training programs and career pathways for team members
  • Partner with Sales, Help Desk, and leadership to ensure aligned solutions and strong customer relationships
  • Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage vendor relationships and advanced technical integrations

Qualifications
Required
  • 7-10+ years in IT operations, engineering leadership, or managed services
  • MSP leadership experience
  • Proven experience leading technical teams across multiple locations
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with PSA/RMM tools (Autotask preferred)
  • Hands-on scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred
  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, VMware)
  • Experience building training programs or automation solutions
