IT Project Manager

Location: BUMED HQ (DHHQ Facility), 7700 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22042

Description: CORTEK is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the SharePoint/Web Services, Microsoft 365, and Application Development team at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Headquarters. The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of tasks related to the evolution of BUMED's SharePoint environment and other web-based initiatives, ensuring projects meet stakeholder needs and are delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the planning and execution of tasks related to the evolution and evaluation of new SharePoint-based initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations to BUMED ITACS for approval on new initiatives.
  • Manage, provision, and host sites on the Navy/Defense Health Agency (DHA) cloud infrastructure (OBIWAN, Microsoft SharePoint Online).
  • Work with project proponents and end-users to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities.
  • Examine requirement documents and create technical design documents, unit tests, system tests, and implementation plans for all approved projects.
  • Coordinate with the ITACS Director or their delegates on all projects for final approval.

Job Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other computing-related disciplines.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience with applications development.

Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SharePoint Application, Salesforce.

  • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification requirements.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects, specifically in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and web application development.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and technical project management methodologies.

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a minimum of an active Secret security clearance.
