Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex initiatives within Capital Markets and Operations technology. This role involves managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of critical technology solutions in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for IT initiatives across Capital Markets and Operations, from initiation through delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Oversee development, testing, implementation, and integration of solutions supporting trading, settlement, reconciliation, and risk platforms.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while managing risks, dependencies, and change control.
• Manage senior-level communication, governance reporting, and stakeholder alignment across business and technology units.
• Drive Agile or hybrid methodologies while maintaining delivery discipline and accountability.
• Coordinate with compliance, information security, infrastructure, and data teams to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project team members and contribute to PMO best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8–12+ years of IT project management experience in financial services, with a strong focus on Capital Markets and Operations.
• In-depth understanding of trading lifecycle, post-trade operations, settlements, and clearing systems.
• Proven experience delivering technology solutions (applications, system migrations, infrastructure changes) in Capital Markets environments.
• Solid knowledge of project governance, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid delivery models.
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and off-shore delivery partners.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with platforms such as Calypso, Murex, Client, or other capital markets systems is a plus.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
