ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Fortune 100 Health Insurance client is seeking an IT Project Manager - Software Development to coordinate and support strategic software development initiatives across multiple enterprise applications in a remote capacity. Reporting to senior Project Management, you will partner closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of enterprise technology projects. This role involves managing project schedules, facilitating Agile ceremonies, tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and fostering collaboration among technical and business stakeholders. You will assist with project prioritization, resource planning, and capacity management, while supporting adherence to established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Project Manager to grow within a fast-paced software development organization, gain exposure to enterprise-scale technology projects, and contribute to impactful business outcomes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple software development projects
  • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Track project progress and communicate status updates, risks, and key milestones to project stakeholders and leadership
  • Maintain project documentation including project plans, meeting notes, action items, status reports, and project artifacts
  • Partner closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure project deliverables remain on schedule
  • Identify project risks, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Assist with project prioritization, resource planning, and capacity management activities
  • Monitor project metrics and support adherence to established SDLC and project management methodologies
  • Foster collaboration across technical and business teams to ensure successful project outcomes
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects, software development initiatives, or technology programs
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects or competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • PMP, CAPM, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other Project Management certifications (preferred)
  • Experience supporting enterprise software development organizations (preferred)
  • Familiarity with project reporting, resource planning, and portfolio management practices (preferred)
