Job description

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We're looking for a driven, highly organized IT Project Manager ready to tackle technology projects across our organization. You'll manage moderate-to-complex IT projects end-to-end, directly contributing to our business value through exceptional technology execution. This role requires a proven track record of navigating dynamic stakeholder environments. You'll also support senior project managers on major programs and help mature the IT Project Management Office (ITPMO). If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a talent for organizing complexity into clear action, we encourage you to apply!

This role is based in-office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Execution & Management: Independently lead and manage medium-complexity IT projects (such as agentic AI projects) from initiation through closing to improve scalability and efficiency. Support data and reporting teams in prioritizing and managing projects and sprints.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, prioritize, and manage project risks and issues, developing and executing practical mitigation strategies before they impact delivery.

  • Organizational Change Management (OCM): Provide OCM support for cross-functional projects to augment ITPMO capabilities; assist leadership with developing, guiding, and ensuring effective change management happens within the organization.

  • Project Methodology & Scope: Expertly apply and tailor various project management approaches (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) to best suit the project scope. Lead detailed requirement gathering sessions, translating business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.

  • Process Optimization: Design, document, and champion improvements to ITPMO and IT organizational workflows and delivery processes to increase efficiency and predictability.

  • Development Coordination: Work closely with technical development teams to sequence and plan their work effort, track dependencies, and maintain a high standard of project governance.

  • Strategic Partnership & Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, fostering trust and alignment. Develop and present clear, concise project status reports, roadmaps, and presentations to senior leadership and steering committees.

  • Conflict Resolution: Effectively manage stakeholder expectations, resolve technical or resource conflicts, and negotiate priorities to maintain project focus and momentum.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Experienced IT Professional: 3-5 years of experience in the technology field or managing IT projects is preferred, backed by a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Methodology Fluent: Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, utilizing structured methodologies with a strong preference for Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Technical Domain Literacy: Strong understanding of core IT concepts, infrastructure, software development lifecycles (SDLC), enterprise systems, and emerging technologies like AI components.

  • Master Communicator: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business impacts for both technical teams and non-technical executive stakeholders.

  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Demonstrates a razor-sharp ability to manage tasks efficiently, maintain rigorous project documentation, and preserve high governance standards under tight timelines.

  • Collaborative & Relational: Works effectively within a team environment, fostering positive cross-functional relationships and a collaborative, high-energy atmosphere.

  • Proactive Owner: Capable of taking immediate initiative, owning complex technical tasks, and driving them to completion while seeking guidance and feedback constructively as needed.
