DigiOffice is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong foundation in transportation logistics and enterprise application systems to lead technology-driven initiatives across a national LTL freight operation. This role sits at the intersection of IT delivery and operations, managing projects that span transportation management, financial systems, and enterprise platforms — including Infor Lawson. The ideal candidate brings firsthand experience in LTL, truckload, or broader freight logistics environments, understands how enterprise systems support carrier operations at scale, and can translate complex technical deliverables into business outcomes across cross-functional teams.
This placement supports a major North American transportation company headquartered in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area, generating over $3B in revenue and employing more than 10,000 individuals across LTL, non-asset truckload, and logistics services operations. Projects within this role directly support the systems and workflows that power that scale.
This is a 100% on-site role in Johns Creek, GA. Remote or hybrid candidates will not be considered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Lifecycle Management
  • Lead end-to-end project management for IT and enterprise application initiatives including system upgrades, integrations, and new technology deployments across transportation, finance, HR, and operations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.
  • Drive projects from initiation through closure using structured methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) aligned to organizational standards.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
Enterprise Systems & Transportation Focus
  • Serve as the primary project liaison for enterprise financial and operational platforms including Lawson and Workday Financials, coordinating across IT and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee project workstreams involving Transportation Management Systems (TMS), route optimization platforms, and freight operations applications.
  • Coordinate system integration projects connecting Lawson financials, CRM, dispatch systems, and terminal-level operational tools.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of new mobility, routing, and logistics optimization technologies aligned to the client's operational model.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Partner with warehouse, transportation, operations, finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, align on priorities, and communicate project status.
  • Serve as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders across terminal, regional, and corporate levels.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committee updates, and executive-level reporting.
Vendor & Contract Coordination
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and third-party implementation partners.
  • Coordinate procurement activities with IT security and contracts teams for new technology solutions.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and support contract negotiations for project-related engagements.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, RAID logs, test plans, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within project delivery and enterprise system workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of PM standards, templates, and best practices within the IT organization.
Requirements
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in a transportation, logistics, LTL freight, or supply chain environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving enterprise platforms such as Infor Lawson, Workday, Salesforce, or comparable ERP/CRM/HCM systems.
  • Solid understanding of LTL freight operations including terminal workflows, linehaul, pickup & delivery, and freight billing processes.
  • Experience managing technology projects with cross-functional stakeholders across IT, operations, and finance.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or equivalent.
  • This is a 100% on-site role in Johns Creek, GA. Remote or hybrid candidates will not be considered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) or active pursuit.
  • Hands-on experience with Infor Lawson / Infor OS, including IPA workflows and LSF environments.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems such as TMW, MercuryGate, or McLeod Software.
  • Familiarity with route optimization platforms or logistics technology tools used in LTL pickup and delivery operations.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent service management experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) as they apply to hosted enterprise applications.
