This well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a high-energy Financial Analyst to support plant leadership through financial analysis, operational reporting, cost management, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers strong visibility across operations, accounting, and leadership teams.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a proactive approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve in a lead role supporting the plant shop floor cost system
  • Analyze financial and operational performance to support business decision-making
  • Track, reconcile, and resolve accounts receivable-related issues monthly
  • Support month-end close and financial reporting activities, including account reconciliations and coordination of closing entries across multiple locations
  • Own and execute daily operational and financial reporting systems
  • Support capital appropriation processes and fixed asset accounting activities
  • Analyze plant spending trends and assist in driving spend management initiatives
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data to develop operational and financial reports
  • Support special projects involving financial analysis, reporting enhancements, and process development
  • Assist with annual and quarterly corporate tax reporting requirements
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytical support to finance and operational leadership
  • Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across finance and plant operations
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution required
  • MBA preferred
  • Prior financial experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Exposure to cost accounting principles and manufacturing operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience querying databases and working with large data sets
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Preferred Background
  • Manufacturing finance, plant accounting, or operational finance environments
  • Experience supporting shop floor reporting, spend management, or operational KPI reporting
  • Exposure to ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal controls
