Job description

Warehouse IT Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a hands-on Warehouse IT Support Specialist to support critical technology operations inside a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting hardware, supporting warehouse technology, working directly with end users, and helping keep automated warehouse operations running smoothly.

  • Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
  • Location: Plainfield, IN (100% Onsite)
  • Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $35-40/hr W2

What You ll Do:


  • Provide hands-on IT support for warehouse operations, including barcode scanners, RF devices, handhelds, industrial PCs, workstations, and warehouse automation equipment.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain RF devices, mobile terminals, and warehouse technology using mobile device management tools.
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot label printers, letter printers, Windows workstations, and warehouse IT hardware.
  • Support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) through initial troubleshooting, issue documentation, and proper escalation while helping maintain network connectivity for warehouse devices.
  • Receive, inventory, deploy, and maintain IT equipment while supporting warehouse automation projects, system rollouts, and critical production issues.

What Gets You the Job:


  • 5-10 years of hands-on IT support experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Experience supporting RF scanners, handheld devices, barcode technology, label printers, Windows PCs, and other warehouse hardware.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), mobile device management tools (such as SOTI), and warehouse networking.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial hardware, automation equipment, or PLC-connected systems; basic PLC diagnostics are preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Plainfield, IN, with flexibility to support occasional overtime and 2nd shift operations as business needs require.
