Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations & Security Lead to help manage, support, and secure the technology environment that powers our growing eCommerce business.

This role serves as the primary technical resource for employee technology, business applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who enjoys supporting users, improving systems, and driving operational excellence across a fast-paced organization. This position offers an opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day IT operations while helping shape the future of technology and security at Vego Garden.

Essential Responsibilities:

IT Operations

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for IT support requests across the organization.
  • Provide technical support for employees across office, warehouse, and remote environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and business application issues.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, account provisioning, and access management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of technology assets and software licenses.

Business Applications & Systems Support

  • Support Google Workspace and related productivity platforms.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving ERP, WMS, CRM, shipping, and eCommerce systems.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve business processes and technology adoption.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and external service providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with application implementation, upgrades, and user training.

Infrastructure & Networking

  • Support office and warehouse network environments, including Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, printers, and conference room technology.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and technology projects.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of business-critical systems.

Cybersecurity

  • Assist in maintaining a secure IT environment through implementation of security best practices.
  • Manage user access controls, MFA, endpoint protection, and device security policies.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security monitoring efforts.
  • Assist with incident response and security investigations when needed.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices across the organization.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support knowledge bases.
  • Recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Participate in strategic technology initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support company growth through scalable and secure technology solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Technical Support, Systems Support, Infrastructure Support, or related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace and cloud-based collaboration tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and business applications.
  • Working knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, Firewalls, and Endpoint security.
  • Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting eCommerce, retail, distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with Shopify, ERP, CRM, WMS, and shipping platforms.
  • Experience supporting barcode scanners, label printers, and warehouse technology.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and security best practices.
  • Industry certifications such as: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Google Workspace Administrator, and/or Microsoft Certifications
Physical Demands:

This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.

Job Location and Work Schedule:
  • This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
  • 13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX 77377.
  • Monday through Friday.
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.

Benefits

  • The salary range is $65,000-$80,000.
