Overview Topeka, KS (Remote); 6 month contract to hire; IT Business Analysis Supervisor. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing a team of business analysts and the work of developers and other IT professionals. This role involves overseeing daily operations, setting priorities, and developing standards.

The manager will assess technology needs, evaluate project feasibility, and manage the implementation of system changes. The manager will develop and interpret organizational policies and procedures while staying updated with technological advances and managing change risks related to IT. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure cooperation and resolve issues.

The manager will also participate in strategic planning teams, contributing to the agency\'s technological integration plans. They will review and approve all systems changes prior to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. General Duties Provide strategic leadership, overseeing a team of business analysts and the work of developers and other IT professionals, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives.

Assess technology needs, provide input on project intake, and develop IT resources, ensuring data security and strategic computing. Interpret and develop organizational policies and procedures; stay updated with technological advances. Foster collaboration with stakeholders and manage IT-related risk.

Participate in strategic planning teams contributing to the agency\'s technological integration plans. Strategic Leadership and Team Management Assign and review the work of systems analysts, developers, and other IT staff. Direct daily operations of the department, analyze workflow, set priorities, develop standards, and establish deadlines.

Participate in tactical and strategic planning teams at the agency level. Stakeholder Collaboration and Policy Development Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems. Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.

Analyze and document high-level information requirements; plan and conduct risk assessments; define information technology risks and develop a plan for IT positions and personnel. Project Management and Implementation Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess technology needs and system requirements. Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.

Review and approve all systems charts and programs prior to implementation. IT Resource Development and Security Develop information technology resources, ensure data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery. Evaluate the organization\'s technology use and needs and recommend improvements (e.g., hardware and software upgrades).

Manage backup, security, and user help systems. Qualifications Strong leadership and team management skills Proficiency in business analysis and project management methodologies Strategic planning and resource allocation expertise Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Education Bachelor's degree or 7 years of IT experience 7-10 years in business analysis with a minimum of 2 years direct supervisory experience.
