Job description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
  • Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
  • Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
  • Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
  • Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Recommended Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Java/Java EE or Python Developer, with a proven track record of delivering robust, hands-on, end-to-end software solutions.
  • 10+ years of hands-on development experience utilizing the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Framework, Spring Boot) to design and build scalable microservices architectures.
  • 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and optimizing applications using relational databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in ReactJS UI/UX development, focusing on building highly responsive, end-to-end frontend solutions.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing data processing solutions on Big Data platforms (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
  • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise messaging solutions (e.g., JMS, Tibco, Kafka) with a deep understanding of distributed architecture principles.
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin AI) to optimize coding efficiency and accelerate software delivery.
  • Strong understanding of data lineage concepts, data flow mapping, and metadata management to ensure data integrity and traceability across enterprise systems.
  • Practical experience deploying containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, preferably OpenShift) and managing robust CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle).
  • Hands-on experience designing, scheduling, and monitoring complex data pipelines using Apache Airflow is a plus.
  • Exposure on BI analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Cognos etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Prior domain knowledge in Credit Risk technology, financial risk management systems, or regulatory reporting frameworks is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical obstacles through cross-functional collaboration, rigorous research/testing, and effective solution negotiation.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, global environment, successfully managing and supporting multiple competing priorities on a daily basis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
