As a 2027 University Intern - Information Technology, you will gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects that help build your technical and professional skills at Phillips 66. Partnering with the business to develop innovative and value adding solutions 

What You'll Do 

Summer internship activities may include the following: 

  • Orientation and training events, field trips, social activities, weekly seminars and opportunities to meet and interact with functional leaders 
  • Participating in continuous coaching conversations with your manager, who will provide guidance throughout your internship 
  • Matching with technical and new hire mentors to assist with role-specific technical challenges and navigating working in the corporate world respectively. 
  • Giving a presentation at the end of the summer to senior business leaders and key stakeholders. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate what you learned in your internship and provide insight on your experience.

Additionally, you'll gain first-hand experience in the energy industry and participate in many additional activities centering around community service, networking, and development.

Opportunities are available in both Bartlesville, OK and Houston, TX.

Your summer may include experiences in areas such as the following: 

  • Adopting automation technologies to lower both accident risks and operating costs. 
  • Exploring artificial intelligence (AI) solutions such as machine learning. 
  • Developing digital solutions to improve workplace efficiency and safety. 
  • Exploring the use of leading technologies to enhance the quality of inspection and monitoring procedures. 
  • Software engineering, involving code development in support of custom solution requirements. 
  • Cloud engineering, including technical responsibilities in native cloud technologies from infrastructure to software development, configuration, and security. 
  • Working with analytics to create efficiencies and drive high value cost savings. 
  • Developing mathematics/statistics/machine skills and domain knowledge 

What You'll Bring - Required 

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country 
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics & Statistics, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems,or equivalent field of study 
  • Greater than 30 hours of earned college credit 
  • Graduation date of August 2027 or later 
  • Available for a minimum of ten continuous weeks

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale 
  • Previous internship with Phillips 66 
  • Previous internship or co-op participant in related industry 
  • Willing to work in any of our operating locations 

Compensation Range 

This position has a pay range of $2,353.00 -  $3,760.00 bi-weekly, dependent on a candidate's degree type and expected graduation date.
