Responsibilities

  • Maintain the IT network infrastructure and provide day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all network devices.
  • Develop and manage projects to enhance and expand the network, including cost analysis, detailed design, project planning, implementation, detailed documentation and cross-training of peers.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN design and topology.
  • Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
  • Experience in using packet/protocol analyzers to find and remedy application and network performance issues.
  • Understanding of Windows Server roles and services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory.
  • Installs, supports and manages servers and resolves issues as needed.
  • Knowledge to support, upgrade, and maintain Cisco routers, firewalls, and IDS devices in the IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of supporting Wireless networks, access points, and wireless encryption methods.
  • Supports, promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
  • Installs patches and performs system backups and recovery.
  • Monitors system configuration, storage arrays, backups and maintains data files.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to users.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Management of Windows-based server environments; patching, upgrading and troubleshooting.
  • Support and deploy VMware environments.
  • Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks.
  • Manage Windows Active Directory including GPO, Group Creation, etc.

RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in computer technology or related field from four-year college or university; 5+ years' related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • Must have working knowledge of current Windows operating systems.
  • Expert Knowledgeable of Cisco networking fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting current Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software and operating systems.
  • Full understanding of VLAN, Ethernet, MPLS, DNS, WINS, FTP, HTTP, and Wireless.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft active directory administration.
  • Cisco, VmWare and/or Microsoft certifications a plus.
  • Cisco IP phones, Micros POS, AS/400, and Bally ACSC support experience is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must obtain a First Aid/AED certification. Must successfully complete C.A.R.E. or TIPS training.
