IT Infrastructure Manager
Salary: Up to $145,000

Location: Latrobe, PA
Job Overview: The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and ongoing support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, and cloud services. This leadership role oversees the infrastructure team and ensures systems are secure, scalable, and highly available across all company locations. In addition to strategic planning and team leadership, the Infrastructure Manager is expected to provide hands-on support when needed, helping troubleshoot complex issues, assist with system changes, and guide best practices during critical events or high-demand periods


Responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Manager:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of infrastructure systems, including network, storage, compute, and cloud environments.
  • Manage a team of network/system engineers and network/system administrators.
  • Oversee enterprise networking using HP Aruba hardware and software, including switching, wireless, and network access control.
  • Define and maintain hardware standards for infrastructure and end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, network switches, access points, and related peripherals.
  • Maintain the health, performance, and availability of on-prem and cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware).
  • Ensure disaster recovery, data backup, and business continuity strategies are implemented and tested.
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity and application teams to maintain a secure, integrated environment.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations to improve system performance, security, and efficiency.
  • Own vendor relationships and infrastructure-related contracts and licensing.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure budget and lifecycle planning for hardware and software.

Preferred Experience of the IT Infrastructure Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles with at least 2 years in a management or technical lead position.
  • Hands-on experience with HP Aruba enterprise networking solutions, including wireless, switching, and ClearPass (or equivalent access control).
  • Strong understanding of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V), Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup/recovery systems.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and services (Microsoft Azure, M365).
  • Familiarity with change management, patching, monitoring, and asset lifecycle practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • ITIL Foundation or similar process framework knowledge.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or manufacturing operations with uptime-critical systems.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites domestically (20% annually)
