Job description

Directs the Information Technology Infrastructure operations for DENSO North America. Overseeing the daily operational and personnel activities throughout DENSO's North America Information Technology Services (NAITS) departments.  Manages the planning, designing, evaluation, and implementation of information systems within assigned areas.  

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Develops policies, standards, and methodologies throughout DENSO North America and implements decisions that are guided by procedures, and business plans 
  • Oversee all infrastructure projects and assigns personnel to projects and direct their activities 
  • Manages the planning, design, development and implementation of information systems across multiple functions or areas; including the information technology infrastructure, the physical network (WAN/LAN, servers, terminals) and applications/software as needed 
  • Governs hardware/software contract administration; including negotiation of contract provisions, interface with legal department and maintenance of appropriate documentation 
  • Adapts division budget and plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges including controlling revenues and expenses within assigned areas and responsible for meeting budget goals and objectives 
  • Responsible for the direct management of individual contributors, including developing individual G&O's and providing coaching, support, and assessments to talent 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems 
  • 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including 5 or more years of people management, project management, and leadership skills 
  • 10 or more years of experience working in an Information Systems operational structure 
  • 5 or more years of experience maintaining department and associate goals and objectives 
  • Basic understanding of network hardware infrastructure and software applications which are incorporated into overall systems 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with skillful presentation skills, to persuade and influence internal and external customers in issues of considerable importance 
  • Analytical or problem solving techniques to identify cause and countermeasures 
  • Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to customer issues 

Preferred Skills:

  • Current or previous scope of work centered on the infrastructure within an Information Technology department 
  • Automotive industry experience  
  • Advanced understanding of network hardware infrastructure and software applications which are incorporated into overall systems
