Job description

The IT Infrastructure Specialist provides technical support and maintenance for IT systems including servers, networks, operating systems, and storage systems that support ArkansasIDEAS, a statewide professional development resource for K-12 educators. Working as part of a small technology team in Conway, the specialist assists with system administration, troubleshooting, automation efforts, and infrastructure improvements to ensure reliable, secure access to critical educational content.

Key qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts, operating systems, server infrastructure, and storage technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system performance issues
  • Ability to install, configure, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure components
  • Preferred: 1+ years experience with Moodle LMS, Linux administration, VMware virtualization, or web application hosting environments
