Job description

Position Summary:

Design, maintain, and continuously improve the desktop/laptop operating environment at Tecta America. Duties to include hardware evaluations, operating system configurations, application installations/distributions, management of Intune environment, and function as 3rd level support to the IT Helpdesk. This is a high-profile position that will oversee 1500+ devices.

Bilingual Spanish-English communication skills are required, as this role regularly supports and collaborates with both English and Spanish speaking employees across multiple locations.

This position will be onsite, Monday through Friday, at our Rosemont, IL office location.

Job Functions:

  • Continuously research and implement endpoint management and security best practices
  • Create and maintain application deployments/updates using Intune and Patch My PC (Win32/MSI/EXE, detection rules, supersedence)
  • Monitor, manage, and deploy workstation OS and application patches; produce compliance reporting and support exception handling
  • Administer Intune/Autopilot enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and device lifecycle tasks
  • Act as Tier 3 escalation for endpoint issues; perform deep troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and durable fixes
  • Assist Helpdesk with overflow tickets as needed; coach Tier 1/2 on recurring issues via documentation/knowledge transfer
  • Partner with IT Security (and tools such as SentinelOne where applicable) to investigate endpoint alerts and perform remediation
  • Maintain documentation for technical and non-technical audiences (KBs, runbooks, "How-To" guides)
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and occasional after-hours updates as required
  • Travel to remote offices and acquisition sites as needed
  • Other duties/projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Fluent in Spanish, both verbal and written
  • Extensive experience working in an Active Directory environment
  • Expert-level knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and laptops
  • Deep hands-on experience with Intune
  • Expert-level experience maintaining Windows images and deployments in a distributed environment

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):

  • Android tablet management and deployment (Intune)
  • Android/iPhone mobile phone configuration
  • Help Desk Ticket Management (Manage Engine ServiceDesk Plus)
  • Dell Desktops and Laptops
  • Multi-Function Printers (Xerox, Canon, Toshiba, etc.)

Key Competencies:

  • Management of End User Accounts in each of the following:
    • Active Directory
    • O365/Azure Entra ID
  • Windows 10/11
  • Office 365 Suite

Occupational Health and Safety:

  • Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
  • Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
  • Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace

Working Conditions:

Physical surroundings: Office/warehouse environment with typical office machines and exposure to noise and temperature.

Physical Effort: Extensive sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive keying, typing. Occasional lifting not to exceed 50 pounds

Travel: As required, typically around 10-20%

Hours: Exempt - Not subject to overtime

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
