Position: Contracts/Sourcing Manager (IT)
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Hybrid/Remote 
Compensation Range: 80K-110K Annually 
Virtual Technologies Group is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Sourcing Manager (IT) to oversee sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing operations across the organization. This role is responsible for optimizing procurement processes, negotiating supplier agreements, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services that support our MSP operations. The Sourcing Manager will collaborate closely with technical, finance, and service delivery teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals and client requirements. The ideal candidate will bring experience in technology contracts within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment and a strong understanding of vendor ecosystems.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage IT contract strategies aligned with service delivery goals
  • Source vendors and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements
  • Manage purchasing processes and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with technical teams to forecast and fulfill procurement needs
  • Optimize inventory levels and oversee asset lifecycle management
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
  • Support budgeting and financial planning with procurement data
  • Stay current with market trends and emerging technologies relevant to MSP operations
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT supply chain roles, including 2+ years in an MSP or IT services organization
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee purchasing lifecycles
  • Familiarity with MSP business models, including hardware/software sourcing, licensing, and recurring service agreements
  • Experience with sourcing platforms and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally with technical and operational teams
  • Knowledge of compliance standards related to sourcing and vendor risk management
Preferred Requirements
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM, CSCP)
