Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a manufacturing company find a Director of Information Technology in Alliance, OH.
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and operations of all IT functions across the organization. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of technology systems supporting a multi-site manufacturing environment. The Director of IT partners with executive leadership and department stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business priorities, drive operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define and execute IT strategy aligned with company objectives, ensuring technology enables operational efficiency, scalability, and growth
  • Lead and develop IT teams across infrastructure, ERP/application support, cybersecurity, and end-user services, driving accountability and continuous improvement
  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure across all locations, ensuring high availability, performance, standardization, and scalability
  • Own and mature cybersecurity posture, including EDR/MDR, SIEM, MFA, policy development, risk management, and incident response planning
  • Direct ERP and business systems strategy, supporting ongoing operations while leading major system enhancements and initiatives
  • Drive data and analytics capabilities through reporting and BI tools, improving data visibility, governance, and overall data quality
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and increase operational efficiency
  • Partner with engineering leadership to support CAD environments, data management, and future system alignment (e.g., PDM/PLM initiatives)
  • Establish and optimize IT service delivery processes, including ticketing systems, SLAs, asset management, and end-user support experience
  • Manage IT financials and vendor relationships, including budgeting, contract negotiation, performance management, and cost optimization
  • Lead a cross-functional IT organization of 16 team members and 5 direct reports
  • Support approximately 500+ end users across corporate and manufacturing operations
  • Oversee IT operations across multiple manufacturing locations throughout the United States
  • Own the performance, reliability, and security of all core systems and infrastructure in a distributed environment
  • Manage IT budget, vendor ecosystem, and long-term technology roadmap

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8-12+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and business application ecosystems
  • Experience with SQL databases, data architecture, and reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, Microsoft hybrid/cloud environments
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Experience supporting or integrating engineering/CAD environments is a plus
