Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is partnering with a dynamic law firm to recruit a Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney. This is a full-time contract role.

Position Details
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: at least 6 months with potential for extension
  • Hours: 40/week
  • Location: Remote, hybrid in Cleveland preferred
  • Compensation: $75/hr
Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Client is seeking attorneys with 3+ years of litigation experience, especially in insurance defense litigation
  • Attorneys will handle general civil litigation lifecycle of insurance defense matters, e.g., taking and defending depositions, managing written discovery responses and requests, drafting dispositive and other motions like motions for summary judgment and motions in limine, assisting team with general case file review, case strategy, and trial prep
  • No trial experience necessary although there could be an opportunity for trial if attorneys have trial experience or are interested in it
  • Attorneys should have experience defending medical malpractice claims
  • Familiarity with billing narratives for insurance defense issues and understanding how billing works when representing insurance carriers is a must, as drafting acceptable time narratives for work will be critical
  • License to practice law in Ohio, active and in good standing, is required
