Job description

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager located anywhere within the Firm’s geographical footprint.

The IT Project Manager must coordinate and manage department and enterprise level technology projects, provide project analysis and status information to management, assist interested Firm teams with implementing recommended project management practices, and participate in improving project management office (PMO) practices, policies, and procedures. The IT Project Manager works to insure the continuation and evolution of the PMO’s strategic and administrative goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technology Project Management

  • Become and remain proficient with project management methods and supporting technology.
  • Collaborate with users, business owners, and management to identify technology solution requirements, scope, schedule, resources, and costs.
  • Employ the appropriate project management methodologies for optimum results.
  • Create applicable project artifacts to monitor and track project progress and status.
  • Generate reports as necessary for project stakeholders and management.
  • Manage technology projects to their completion, including proper project close out.

2.  Project Management Consulting

  • Work with the PMO team to improve PMO operations, procedures, policies, and execution.
  • Advise and educate interested Firm parties on project management concepts, methods, and technologies.
  • Work with the Firm’s internal training department on project management education initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year college degree or demonstratable experience.
  • Experience with multiple project management methodologies.
  • Project management certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with Microsoft project management and Microsoft 365 applications.

GENERAL 

  • Strong leadership, managerial, organizational and communication skills.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to maintain effectiveness during change.
  • Questioning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Embrace self-learning for expanding knowledge and skill-sets.
  • Experience with and willingness to apply AI technology and concepts to project management.
  • Ability to work flexible/extended hours when necessary.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.
