Job description

Our client, a dedicated public health organization, is seeking an Application Development Manager to join their team. As an Application Development Manager, you will be part of the Information Technology Department supporting application development and management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Development Manager

Location: Topeka, Kansas
Must be USC or GC Holder due to client requirements 

What's the Job?

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the application development team, including workload distribution, performance management, and professional development.
  • Establish clear team goals, priorities, and project timelines aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee and coordinate application development projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between project managers and development staff to ensure effective communication and alignment of technology solutions with business needs.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, stand-ups, and retrospectives to monitor progress, remove obstacles, and ensure continuous improvement with the development team and processes.

  • Extensive experience managing development teams (3-5+ years).
