YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting IT Technician opportunity in our Guymon, OK plant. The IT Technician provides technical support services involving software applications, personal computers, LANs, WANs and AS/400 connectivity.  Must maintain a working knowledge of current systems and applications software as well as Seaboard Foods policies and procedures and develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with suppliers and customers of information technology.  May require work at remote locations as needed.  The successful person brings a can-do attitude and positive energy every day and is prepared to communicate with all levels of employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot IT and technical systems as directed
  • Help desk support for related systems through tickets or phone – some after-hours support required
  • Maintain basic business devices, mobile phones, tablets, copiers, printers, fax, etc
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written and/or verbal form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Assist Information Services team with local and remote Microsoft Windows support
  • Coordinate with staff at various levels within the Company and with vendors and consultants as directed
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Provide after-hours support and project work as needed
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, trainees and the general public
  • Work with various teams in support of business and Information Technology projects
  • Other related duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required:

  • High School or GED.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or technical degree preferred
  • 2+ years in an IT support and troubleshooting role or equivalent training
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, M365 suite of products and other common user software
  • Ability to work with/troubleshoot printers, scanners, tablets and PLC equipment
  • Basic understanding of networking, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN and Wifi
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work A, B or C shift
