Job description

Amazon Web Services is seeking a self-starter to lead and own revenue generation in the Federal Cloud Computing business. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who drives awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services by engaging directly with Federal clients and partnering with solutions providers who are transforming their IT strategies through cloud adoption and delivery
As an Account Executive within Amazon Web Services (AWS) you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your broad responsibilities will include developing and managing a growing customer base within the US Federal Civilian sector, spanning multiple agency verticals, while partnering with cross functional teams to drive adoption, revenue growth, and long term customer success.

You will drive business and technical relationships and launch customers at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, and pursue key cloud related opportunities. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market strategies, and collaborating with Sales, Legal, Marketing, Product, Contracts and Executive leadership along the way.
You will establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer's mission and the environment. You will have day-to-day interactions with these agencies and our eco-system of partners (Systems Integrators and SaaS Software Partners) that support these customers

The ideal candidate will possess a sales background that enables them to not only drive an engagement at the CXO level but also perform operational account analysis to support revenue growth, including greenfield prospecting and territory development. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you'll own a book of business supporting our US Federal Civilian customers, driving pipeline and revenue against a monthly quota.

You'll use AI, data, and analytics to prioritize accounts, surface opportunities, and shape a data-driven sales strategy. You'll own the ISV partner relationship end-to-end-building the go-to-market approach and driving the results behind it. Your days will include customer meetings, discovery, and account reviews, working backwards from customer needs alongside Solutions Architects, Partner teams, and Business Operations to earn trust and advance deals.

You'll help federal agencies transform their missions through cloud adoption, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
