Job description

Overview

Apogee Engineering is seeking an experienced ISR Training Director. The goal of this effort is to provide independent technical and project management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to the USSF CFC ISR enterprise. This support will be provided in the form of instruction, development and maintenance of curriculum for domainโ€‘specific foundational intelligence training and tradecraft training to include, but not limited to, space targeting, space foreign instrumentation signals (FIS), cyber intelligence, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED), and allโ€‘source intelligence analysis. Location: Peterson Space Force Base, CO

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Governmentโ€™s primary point of contact and senior onโ€‘site representative for the Prime Contractor
  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and guidance for all Instructor personnel and activities
  • Assign tasks, supervise ongoing efforts, and manage overall contract performance and deliverables
  • Possess authority to commit to the organization and make decisions in response to Government issues, concerns, and comments
  • Be readily available to respond to Government questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify and alert the Government to potential contractual or programmatic issues and recommend corrective action.
  • Lead course development, instruction, and curriculum updates for Space Force ISR training programs.

  • Serve as the schoolhouse ISR instructor, ensuring course content remains current, relevant, and aligned with USSF ISR requirements.

  • Train students in FISINT fundamentals, collection methodologies, analytic techniques, and realโ€‘world tradecraft application.

  • Maintain instructional quality and support continuous improvement across the training pipeline.

  • Update written Assessments including written exams, performance exercises, and rubrics for all courses.
  • Train students in the fundamentals of collecting, analyzing, and applying FISINT techniques and tradecraft using realโ€‘world operational scenarios.
  • Maintain close coordination with mission partners to ensure training reflects current operational needs.
Qualifications

MinimumExperience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: TS and SCI eligible

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Education / Years of Experience: BS 12+ years experience

  • Experience with DoD task management systems, seniorโ€‘level correspondence, and coordination across multiโ€‘level organizations with the ability to produce highโ€‘quality technical and executive level written products.
  • Prior PM experience with expertise in intelligence training.
  • Representative instructor credentials include prior Service Intelligence Training, USAFWS instructor, National Cryptologic School faculty, NSSI instructor, DOT/DOV qualified instructor.

Additional Experience:

  • Experience with Intelligence Training, Preferred: Schoolhouse Instructor, USAFWS Instructor, Instructor/Stan&Eval experience.

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Space and Counterspace Intelligence, Foreign Missile Systems, Foreign Space Systems, Adversary Counterspace, C4ISR, Remote Sensing, NRO Systems, Orbital Mechanics, SATCOM (US and Foreign), US Strategic Systems, Ballistic Missile Defense, DoD Joint Operations, Spaceโ€‘based Weather, and Threats to Space Systems.

  • Qualified in Instructional Systems Design/Curriculum Development.

Preferred Qualifications: Education / Years of Experience: MS 10+ years experience, PhD 7+ years experience

  • Desired: PM with over 20+ years experience with Space Intelligence. Ideal candidate would be former Delta 7 Commander or Delta 7 ISR Squadron Commander or Training SME.

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
