Job description

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Environmental Services Worker, Part-time at Generations Behavioral Health in Youngstown, OH. This position offers a flexible schedule between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and includes every other weekend.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Dust furniture, woodwork and equipment and dust-mops floors. Polish and clean fixtures in rooms and bathrooms
  • Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers, shampooers and related environmental service equipment
  • Wet-mop rooms, halls and other areas; shampoos rugs and furniture
  • Clean vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder
  • Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials using specified bags or containers.
  • Move furniture and other heavy objects as required
  • Perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants; follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms
  • Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms

Requirements:
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
  • Previous environmental services experience is a plus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
