Job description


Kiawah Island Club is seeking a motivated and hospitality-driven Server Assistant to join the team at B-Liner at the Beach Club. This position plays an essential role in supporting the dining experience by assisting servers, maintaining dining room organization, and ensuring members and guests receive exceptional service in a fast-paced beachfront restaurant environment. Rooted in the culinary vision of James Beard Award-winning chef Mike Lata, B-Liner celebrates fresh, local, and sustainable seafood and ingredients sourced from regional farmers, fishermen, and purveyors throughout the Southeast.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist servers throughout service to ensure smooth and efficient dining operations
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables according to club standards
  • Refill water glasses and assist with guest needs during service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, patios, and service stations
  • Stock supplies, polish silverware, and complete assigned side work
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, chefs, and managers
  • Support overall team operations and member satisfaction during high-volume service periods
  • Maintain professional appearance and uphold Kiawah Island Club service standards
Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift restaurant equipment as needed

Schedule Requirements
  • Dinner service availability required Wednesday through Sunday
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require
  • Ability to work flexible shifts based on seasonal club operations and special events
  • Punctuality and dependable attendance are essential for success in this role

Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
