Job description

Mare Island Brewing Co., located on Mare Island in Vallejo, CA on the banks of the Napa River and recently voted "Best Brewery of the Bay Area" in 2026's SF GATE reader poll, is looking for someone who can handle both delivery driving and logistics coordination. This dual-role position blends hands-on delivery work with route planning and reports directly to our co-founder. Based out of our brewing facility, your day typically starts around 9am, five days a week (weekdays only), though start times can shift earlier depending on delivery window complexities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20-24/hr, depending on experience
The position would be full-time, scheduled for (and with an expectation to work) 40 hours per week, and classified as "non-exempt," with overtime compensation. This position also includes:

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Drive our lightest delivery route, delivering cans and kegs to businesses throughout the Bay
  • Merchandise product and troubleshoot beer draught systems at accounts
  • Print and prepare daily routing paperwork for our wholesale delivery routes
  • Coordinate the next day's delivery routing in partnership with Outside Sales Manager, working through scheduling conflicts and routing complexities
  • Coordinate inter-company beer pulls to our taproom locations with our F&B Director
  • Partner with our Office Manager to confirm account payment status before dispatch, ensuring no deliveries go out to accounts with outstanding balances
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts
  • Build boxes, trays, and participate in other production support tasks when needed
  • Customer interaction at point of delivery
  • Safe handling of company vehicles - branded cargo van and 4-bay branded beer truck
  • Daily routes start/end at our brewing facility, where vehicles are kept and routing paperwork is prepared

Requirements include:

  • 21 years or older
  • No CDL required
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing shifting priorities day to day
  • Versatile and ready to jump in wherever needed, big or small
  • Clear, proactive communicator - this role works directly with our Outside Sales Manager, Office Manager, and F&B Director to keep deliveries and beer pulls on track
  • Prior logistics, dispatch, or route coordination experience a plus
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic inventory tracking
  • Ability to lift 165lb kegs
  • Clean DMV record a must
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Knowledge of craft beer a plus
