Route Service Technician Location: Ramrod Key, FL 33042 (Lower Florida Keys)
Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time, In-person

Come join Island Restrooms, South Florida’s premier portable restroom company. For over a decade, we’ve delivered exceptional portable toilets and luxury restroom trailers for private events and commercial clients across all of South Florida and the Florida Keys. Steady growth has created an opening for another Route Service Technician at our Ramrod Key Depot in the Lower Keys.

This is a hands-on outdoor role where you’ll take pride in delivering 5-star service every day. You’ll service, clean, and prepare portable sanitation equipment, keep our yard and vehicles in top condition, and help maintain the high standards our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, clean, and restock portable toilets and luxury restroom trailers on assigned routes
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain service vehicles in excellent condition
  • Keep the yard organized, clean, and ready for daily operations
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service when interacting with clients
  • Assist with special events and VIP properties as needed
  • Accurately document service activities and report any equipment issues

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for insurance and access to client sites)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, well-maintained equipment
  • Reliability, integrity, and a willingness to get your hands dirty
  • Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather and perform physical tasks (lifting, pushing, pulling)
  • Comfortable taking direction and working as part of a team
  • Previous experience in route service, sanitation, facilities, or similar hands-on roles is a plus but not required

Important Note: This position requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a background check to meet our insurance requirements and gain access to certain client properties.
