We are looking for a full-time experienced emergency medicine physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our team at Island Health in the beautiful and scenic Anacortes, Washington. Island Health is a Level III community hospital and Level II Stroke Center that consists of 43 total beds and 13 ED beds + 2 hallway beds. We are averaging 24 hours of physician coverage and 8 hours of APC coverage daily that oversees an annual volume of 17,500 visits per year. Our dedicated team deals with consistent medium acuity, while seeing an average of 2-2.5 patients per hour. During all shifts the clinicians do respond to floor codes as well as covering the fast track; where we have 5 vertical chairs. Island Health uses Meditech Expanse EMR with Dragon Dictation. We have most specialty support in place for any consults that are needed throughout the shift and onsite helipad available for transfers.

Position Overview
  • Join a collaborative and dynamic team focused on high-quality patient care and strong communication
  • Work in a respected, physician-led company with more than four decades of experience
  • Competitive compensation with an estimated base salary of $80/hour to $80/hour and the opportunity to earn additional compensation via holiday pay; this role is benefits eligible as a W-2 clinician
  • Full-time clinicians are eligible for an excellent and comprehensive benefits package to include: 401(k) plan, health, dental and vision insurance, LTD, STD, FSA, and group term life insurance
  • Will be cross-credentialed at Cascade Valley Hospital
  • New grads will go through a 60-day orientation at ' regular rate before moving to standard rate
