Job description

As a Mate with 41 North Offshore, you serve as a key member of the vessel’s leadership team and assist the Captain in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the tug. This position is responsible for overseeing all towing operations and deck activities, including line handling, rigging, and cargo-related tasks. The Mate also stands navigational watch, operates the vessel during routine transits, and directs docking and undocking maneuvers to ensure the safety of the crew, vessel, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Captain in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the tug.
  • Manage all towing operations and deck evolutions, including line handling, rigging, and related deck activities.
  • Stand navigational watch and operate the vessel during transits.
  • Conduct docking and undocking maneuvers safely and efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with all company quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, drills, audits, and training sessions in accordance with company and customer policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements: MMC, TWIC, STCW, Mate of Towing Endorsement
