The Programmer will design, develop, maintain and support corporate software applications and EDI programs on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) using RPG/LE, SQL and CL.

The Programmer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and manage corporate IT projects.
  • Work on all aspects of software application development including:
    • Requirements Definition
    • Technical Design
    • Programming/Testing
    • Implementation
    • Support and maintain existing software applications including troubleshooting software “bugs' and applying software patches, fixes, and upgrades
    • Train users on new corporate software applications
    • Document program changes/enhancements related to corporate software
    • Bar coding
    • Other miscellaneous duties as required

Position Requirements

  • Self starter - Must have at least five years operations/programming experience in an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.
  • Must be proficient with RPG (III,LE & Free), CL, SQL programming languages
  • Experience with EDI mapping
  • Experience with IBMi Operations
  • Experience with Turning Point/DISTRACK or other distribution software helpful
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in MS/Office
  • Able to work constructively and independently
  • Able to work on multiple consecutive projects
  • Must work on-site
