Job description

Irrigation Technician

Preservation and aesthetics are the face of any business. The Irrigation Technician, under the supervision of the Director of Agronomy and Landscape Project Manager, is responsible for the programming, operation, and maintenance of the golf course irrigation systems.

The duties of an Irrigation Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Report any irregularities in golf course turf quality to Management.
  • Monitor and water the golf course regularly, including greens, tees, and fairways.
  • Repair and maintain the irrigation system, including pipes and irrigation heads, as needed.
  • Assist with irrigation construction and maintenance work as required.
  • Perform periodic general and preventative maintenance on irrigation systems.
  • Complete requests for irrigation/course parts and supplies
  • Operate dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
  • Respond to all irrigation requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by Property or Corporate Management
