Job description

Qualifications:

  • BS civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field
  • FE license with ability and desire to obtain PE license in the future.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Civil 3D or other computer aided drafting programs a plus.
  • Must have high attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic learner, and ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Demonstrate willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with project team to design site civil engineering aspects of residential, multi-family, commercial, and municipal projects.
  • Use AutoCAD/Civil 3D to prepare engineering plans for roadways, sanitary sewers (both small scale and large scale), water systems, irrigation systems, stormwater systems, and grading plans.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and reports.
  • Perform construction site visits and construction observations. Prepare daily field reports and document construction progress and site conditions.
  • Assist with construction administration and support the engineer of record.
  • Other duties as assigned.
