Job description

Job Description Structural Iron Worker Pay: $28.54 HR | Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL| Weekly Pay |Full Benefits | $300 sign-on bonus We are seeking an experienced and dependable Structural Ironworker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience erecting structural steel, reading blueprints, working safely at heights, and operating hand and power tools. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork

Responsibilities Erect and install structural steel, beams, columns, joists, and metal decking. Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Bolt, weld, align, and secure structural steel components.

Connect steel members using proper rigging techniques and signaling methods. Assist with unloading, staging, and organizing materials on job sites. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely.

Work from aerial lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and at elevated heights. Install miscellaneous metals including stairs, handrails, guardrails, and embeds. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies. Participate in daily job safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Qualifications Required 1-2 years of structural steel erection experience. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Experience using ironworking tools and equipment.

Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Reliable transportation to and from job sites Must have a Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Must pass drug screen and all required background checks.

Preferred Structural welding certifications. Rigging and signal person certification. Aerial lift certification.

Crane signaling experience. NCCER Ironworker Certification or equivalent. Commercial or industrial construction experience.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain if needed). Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain if needed). Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods.

Comfortable working at heights of 100 feet or more while using proper fall protection.
