Now Hiring: Combo Welder / Pipefitter (FCAW)

Location: Huntsville & Decatur, AL
Compensation: $25-$27 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time
Per Diem: Not Available

Position Overview

United Trades of America is currently seeking experienced Combo Welders / Pipefitters for full-time work in the Huntsville and Decatur, Alabama areas. This is a long-term opportunity to join a company that values craftsmanship, professionalism, and safety. Candidates should be proficient in Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and capable of performing pipefitting tasks according to industrial specifications.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform FCAW welding on carbon and stainless steel in all positions

  • Fit, cut, and install industrial piping systems based on blueprints and isometric drawings

  • Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, torches, and rigging equipment

  • Complete high-quality welds in accordance with ASME and AWS codes

  • Inspect welds and joints to ensure structural integrity and code compliance

  • Follow all OSHA safety standards on job sites

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedules and quality standards are met


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in combo welding and pipefitting

  • Proficient in FCAW welding (all positions)

  • Ability to interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols

  • OSHA 10 certification required

  • Must be able to pass a weld test and drug screening

  • Experience with pipe threading, layout, and rigging

  • NCCER, AWS, or ASME certifications are preferred but not required
