Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare menu items (smoked meats, fried chicken, burgers, sandwiches, sides, etc.) according to recipes and quality standards

  • Operate kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, smokers) safely and efficiently

  • Coordinate timing and plating so dishes leave the kitchen hot and accurate

  • Assist with prep work, mise en place, and stocking during off-peak hours

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in your station and throughout the kitchen

  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to manage order flow, especially during game nights and peak service times

  • Help monitor food waste, portion control, and inventory usage

  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Attention to detail in cooking, timing, and presentation

  • Understanding of kitchen flow, food safety, and cleanliness standards

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and move in a busy kitchen

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and high-volume nights (especially sports events)

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindset

Why Work With Us
  • Join a vibrant, locally loved smokehouse and sports bar

  • Competitive pay and potential for tips or shift-based incentives

  • Opportunity to deepen skills in both smokehouse cooking and diverse pub fare

  • Work in a dynamic environment energized by sports, community, and flavor

  • Be part of a team that values consistency, hospitality, and heart

If you’re passionate about cooking bold flavors in a lively, community-driven environment, we’d love to have you on the team. Apply today to become a Line Cook at Irma Jean’s Neighborhood Restaurant & Sports Bar!
