Maitre D
Irish Restaurant Company (including Galway Bay, Killarney House and Pirates Cove) is looking for a responsible individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant.
Looking for flexibility during the week between Wednesday through Sunday, mainly evening shifts.
We are looking for the right person to engage a team of fast moving servers and bartenders.
Candidate should have management experience; Position requires candidate to possess excellent communication skills both with customers for building relationships, and with team members for building and maintain great service standards. Candidate should be familiar with reading customer body language and have a high standard of service mentality. If you do not like talking to people this is not the job for you.
Weekends and Holidays will be a normal part of your schedule (Closed on Christmas Day and certain other holidays depending on the restaurant of choice).
You will be responsible for overseeing evening operations, including: host duties, answering phones, reservations, organizing the wait list on busy evenings, table planning, seating guests, events, closing the restaurant duties. Must be able to work under pressure on a busy evening and be capable of maintaining control of the waitlist and be calm and collected and always a positive attitude toward waiting guests and busy team members.
The candidate for this position will preferably have experience in fine dining and coaching of service staff. This position will oversee a large service team of servers, bartenders and support staff in the high volume season.
