Unarmed Security Guard

Unarmed Security Officer – Vancouver, WA

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting professional Unarmed Security Officers with strong customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team in Vancouver, Washington.

Position Highlights

  • Pay Rate: $19-$20 per hour

Position Overview

As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will help protect people and property by preventing and deterring criminal activity while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and random patrols of assigned areas
  • Monitor premises and report hazards, suspicious activity, or unusual occurrences
  • Follow site control procedures when necessary
  • Document daily operations and complete incident reports
  • Investigate and report property breaches or disturbances

Basic Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Active Guard License through WA DOL
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
  • Reliable transportation
  • Active cellphone
  • Clean criminal background
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine foot patrols

Physical & Mental Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, especially during emergencies
  • Ability to read and interpret written information in a variety of situations
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle during the course of duties if required
  • Ability to detect and identify emergency sounds, including alarms and distress signals in noisy environments
  • Ability to walk, stand, run, climb, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if required
  • Must maintain good mental health and sound judgment to respond quickly during emergencies
  • Must meet state licensing requirements to perform Security Officer work
