We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic manufacturing team and contribute to our ongoing success.


Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Assistant Clerk plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of Naturpak. This position is responsible for accurately preparing outgoing shipments and efficiently receiving incoming shipments, ensuring compliance with company standards and enhancing overall operational efficiency. By ensuring that orders are processed accurately and timely, you will help us maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Accuracy: Verify and ensure the precise completion of all customer orders, contributing to our reputation for reliability and quality service.
  • Documentation Management: Generate, review, and collect necessary documentation for warehouse loaders, ensuring that location and shipment details are meticulously recorded.
  • Inbound Processing: Efficiently assist in processing inbound receipts, conducting thorough checks to verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against records.
  • Safety Compliance: Actively adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives, fostering a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Material Handling: Expertly load, unload, move, stack, and stage finished goods and raw materials as needed, utilizing forklifts and other material handling equipment with proficiency and care.
  • GMP and Food Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations, safeguarding the integrity of our products.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and courteously to inquiries, investigating shipping issues, and monitoring inventory levels to resolve concerns.
  • Clerical Support: Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks, including filing, sorting, and data entry, to support the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
  • Other Duties: Embrace a team-oriented approach by performing additional tasks as assigned by administrative leadership to support overall team success.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and understanding shipping and receiving documents; strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and truck drivers.
  • Knowledge With ERP Systems: Familiarity with SAP and MS Office. Knowledge of WMS is helpful.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see, speak, hear, read, type, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of pulling, pushing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, and lifting items over 50 lbs.
  • Extensive walking and standing may be required throughout the workday.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily based in a warehouse environment, with exposure to typical conditions such as noise and varying temperatures.
  • May involve manual labor and operation of material handling equipment.
