Primary Function

We are seeking a senior technology leader reporting to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to serve as Engineering Leader of Global IoT Platform, responsible for defining, building, and scaling an enterprise-wide IoT platform that enables connected water management solutions across products, businesses, and regions.

This role owns the foundational IoT platform capabilities—spanning devices, connectivity, cloud, data, and platform services—and is accountable for creating a unified, secure, and scalable platform that accelerates innovation and long-term digital growth. The role also carries responsibility for building and leading a high-performing global engineering organization.

Responsibilities Enterprise IoT Platform Strategy

Define and own the enterprise IoT platform vision and strategy aligned with business priorities and long-term growth objectives.

Establish a clear technical north star and reference architecture spanning devices, connectivity, cloud, data, and platform services.

Translate strategy into a multi-year platform roadmap balancing scalability, security, speed, and cost.

Drive build, buy, and partner decisions for platform technologies and ecosystems.

Platform Engineering & Architecture

Lead the design, development, and evolution of a secure, scalable, and resilient global IoT platform.

Ensure interoperability and reuse across products, regions, and business units.

Establish and enforce engineering standards for architecture, quality, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance.

Oversee platform reliability, performance, lifecycle management, and operational readiness.

Global Organization & Capability Building

Build, lead, and scale a global IoT platform engineering organization across regions and disciplines.

Define the operating model, governance, roles, and ways of working for platform teams.

Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent; build leadership depth and succession.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner closely with Product Management, IT, Operations, and regional teams.

Enable product and solution teams by providing stable, reusable, and well‑governed platform capabilities.

Represent the organization externally with partners, customers, and industry forums as a platform and IoT leader.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Extensive experience leading large-scale platform, cloud, or IoT engineering organizations.

Proven track record delivering complex, globally deployed technology platforms.

Strong background in distributed systems, cloud architectures, and data-driven platforms.

Demonstrated success operating in a matrixed, global enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (MS or PhD).

Experience in water, industrial, infrastructure, or other mission‑critical domains.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory considerations for connected systems.

Experience driving enterprise‑wide platform or digital transformations.
