Role Purpose:

The Solutions Architect provides pre-sales services to both internal and external customers, focusing on the implementation and deployment of OT enterprise solutions. The primary focus of the position is to support the Enterprise Sales Team in working with customers on their IoT Digital Transformation in the area of Enterprise Resource Planning, Manufacturing Execution systems, data analytics, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

As a Solutions Architect, you will:

  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Partner with MMG enterprise sales representatives on sales strategies, plans, and execution.
  • Present qualitative and quantitative values of the proposed solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive architectural designs, presentations, and documentation that demonstrate business value, technical feasibility, and actionable benefits.
  • Communicate with customer IT representatives to understand customer IT infrastructure and policies, and to present solutions that fit into customer’s IT environments.
  • Guide customers and implementers on ways to deploy proposed products, including alternatives and their costs and benefits.
  • Collaborate on deployment planning with internal teams and external partners, advising on best practices, technical risks, and alternative approaches to identify risks and minimize any contractual liquidated damages.
  • Prepare technical materials, presentations, and tools to improve sales force effectiveness.
  • Evaluate products and provide feedback on product features and performance.
  • Serve as the technical expert for pre-sale customers and internal events.
  • Develop product enhancements to be used by various delivery teams to either extend existing product functionality and/or to improve development efficiency.
  • Represent MMG at industry events and standards committees, establishing thought leadership and maintaining alignment with sector advancements.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering or other technical field or Business with technical experience in the factory automation field.  Industry experience (8+ years) will be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree. 
  • Knowledge in one or more manufacturing applications, such as ERP, MES, IoT, Digital Transformation, Analytics, Cloud Technology.Bottom of Form
  • Knowledge in Data Management methodologies, including Data Governance, Data Fabric, Data Mesh, and Data Ingestion Patterns.
  • 5+ years of industry experience and application development in Industrial Automation, IT, Enterprise Software, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate and work with a variety of people not under direct control in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarization with SQL, Power BI, and programming languages (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively with VMWare, HyperV, ProxMox, Nutanix AHV, Azure, AWS, etc.
