The opportunity

Frame.io, an Adobe Company, is changing the future of how creative work gets done by helping over 1 million creative professionals seamlessly collaborate from all over the world. We have built a product creatives recognize and love through constant innovation and incredible attention to detail.

We're looking for a Senior Staff Product Designer to serve as a design leader and visionary for Frame.io's product experience. Creative workflows and tools are rapidly evolving with the advent of generative AI and new technologies like Frame.io's Camera to Cloud. You'll operate at one of the highest levels of individual contribution-working across the entire product to tackle our most critical and complex challenges, shape product strategy, and define experiences that will influence the future of creative collaboration. You'll partner with executive leadership at both Frame.io and Adobe, set the quality bar for the design organization, and serve as a design authority whose work and perspective shapes how millions of creatives work.

This is a role for an exceptional designer who operates at the intersection of craft mastery, strategic vision, and leadership. You'll be equally comfortable presenting product vision to Adobe executives, prototyping breakthrough interaction patterns, and mentoring designers across the organization. You should possess world-class design skills, a track record of defining category-leading products, and the ability to influence at the highest levels. Your work will define Frame.io's future and inspire the entire design team.

What you'll do
  • Drive product-wide design strategy and vision. You'll work across the entire Frame.io product to identify the most important opportunities, define long-term design direction, and ensure a cohesive, best-in-class experience. You'll shape what we build and how we build it through rapid prototyping, validation, and exceptional craft.

  • Set and uphold the highest standard for design excellence across Frame.io. Your work will define what exceptional looks like-from foundational systems to innovative new patterns. You'll ensure every experience reflects our commitment to fluidity, elegance, and obsessive attention to detail.

  • Lead through prototyping and design exploration. Use the latest tools like Cursor, Figma, and emerging AI-powered platforms to create compelling prototypes that bring new ideas to life and validate direction before we build.

  • Partner with Frame.io and Adobe leadership to influence product strategy. Present design work and insights to senior stakeholders, build consensus across organizations, and ensure design thinking drives strategic decisions at the highest levels.

  • Pioneer the future of creative collaboration technology. Deeply immerse yourself in generative AI, emerging creative workflows, and next-generation tools. Identify transformative opportunities and define how Frame.io will lead the category forward.

  • Serve as a design leader and mentor for the organization. Elevate the craft and strategic thinking of designers across Frame.io through critiques, workshops, and leading by example. Teach new tools and foster a culture of excellence that shapes the design organization's capabilities and impact.

What you need to succeed
  • 10+ years of product design experience with a track record of defining and shipping category-leading products at companies known for design excellence. You've operated at the highest levels of product design and have demonstrable impact on products used by millions.

  • World-class craft across visual design, interaction design, and prototyping. You create prototypes that inspire teams and validate breakthrough ideas-from new micro-interactions to complex workflows. Your aesthetic judgment is impeccable and your work has set industry benchmarks for both quality and innovation.

  • Strategic product vision with deep systems thinking. You understand complex product ecosystems, can envision multi-year futures, and design foundational systems that enable the entire product to evolve. Your work is grounded in user insights while driving business outcomes at scale.

  • Executive-level communication and influence. You present with confidence, build compelling narratives that drive strategic alignment, and influence product direction across organizations including executive leadership.

  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders across product, engineering, and business. You create alignment at the highest levels, navigate complex organizational dynamics, and bring out the best in cross-functional partners.

  • Design leadership and mentorship at scale. You've elevated the capabilities of design teams through your example, feedback, and thought leadership. You foster culture, develop talent, and expand the impact of design organizations.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft and thought leadership. Both the work shown and how you present it should be best-in-class-showcasing breakthrough solutions, meticulous execution, and the strategic impact you've driven at the highest levels of product design.

Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:

  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.

  • Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.

  • Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.
