The Role

As a Business Analyst supporting the onboarding of Private Markets in Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO), this individual will serve as a vital conduit between the product delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure we meet the differentiated needs of Private Markets structures and requirements. They will work with various internal teams to allow for the efficient functioning of this key line of business in our firm and interact daily with internal stakeholders, legal/compliance, and others. This Analyst will develop a significant internal voice on behalf of the Private Markets product and the broader FFIO organization, influencing systems and architecture solution design based on complex requirements.

As a member of the team, the Business Analyst leads initiatives with diverse scope and complexity, acting as the primary interface between end users, product management, and the systems organization. Our Analysts collaborate with business partners to assess complex business requirements and translate them into effective solutions. Finally, we support our product team’s dedication to quality by crafting and implementing tests that address business needs and ensure the delivery of solutions to our end users.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
  • 3-5 or more years of experience in Financial Services, with a strong understanding of private markets, Alternative accounting, financial accounting and/or investment operations
  • Proven experience with Private Equity, Private Debt, and other Alternative investment structures
  • Deep understanding of private market structures such as Limited Partnerships, REITs, BDCs, private lending funds, CDOs, and CLOs
  • Strong knowledge of asset management back-office operations, accounting, investment operations, complex fund structures, and derivatives
  • Hands-on experience with FIS InvestOne and SS&C Geneva accounting platforms
  • Ability to analyze complex and ambiguous issues, recommending creative solutions with clear and concise presentations
  • Proven expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable business and systems requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully to influence others
  • Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous circumstances and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to keep pace, make progress and bring others along

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$180,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
