Our client, a leading global financial services firm, is seeking an Experienced Analyst to join their Energy and Midstream Investment Banking team in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

The Energy and Midstream Investment Banking Group is seeking an Experienced Analyst to support the execution of a broad range of advisory and capital raising transactions across the energy and midstream sector. The Analyst will work closely with Associates and senior bankers, gaining meaningful experience in transaction execution, financial analysis, and strategic advisory.

  • Support the execution of equity financings, M&A, and other strategic advisory transactions for energy and midstream clients
  • Prepare pitch books, offering memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction marketing materials
  • Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis to support live transactions and pitches
  • Conduct industry, company, and asset-level research across the energy and midstream value chain
  • Participate in client meetings and investor presentations
  • Support drafting sessions for underwriting and advisory engagements
  • Conduct comprehensive industry, company, and transaction-specific due diligence
  • Provide analytical and execution support to senior bankers and deal teams

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of investment banking experience; energy and midstream experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting M&A, capital markets transactions, and strategic advisory assignments
  • General knowledge of energy and midstream industry trends
  • Financial modeling and valuation expertise; knowledge of energy/midstream-specific frameworks preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Series 63 and 79 licenses preferred
  • H1Bs considered on a case by case basis

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Undergraduate or graduate coursework in a relevant field (engineering, energy, finance, or related) is a differentiating plus

Compensation

  • Base salary range of $125,000–$135,000, plus discretionary bonus

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
