Compensation

The salary for this role is $20.00/hr. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New Jersey. ย This salary range may also be modified in the future.

About the Role:ย 

We are seeking an Intern to support the Private Equity Operations Accounting team. This role is designed for students interested in finance, accounting, private equity, or energy infrastructure. You willย assistย with core accounting workflows, reporting tasks, and operational support across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity toย observeย how investment operations functionย endtoendย while developing essential technical skills.ย 

Responsibilities

Whatย you willย do:ย ย 

  • Assistย with saving and organizing NAV statements and investment documentsย 
  • Support weekly booking of cash and credit card transactions across entitiesย 
  • Help prepare monthly and quarterly workpapers for internal reviewย 
  • Assistย in posting journal entries under supervisionย 
  • Support preparation of capital call and distribution filesย 
  • Participate in investor communication workflows (capital notices, account statements, K1 support)ย 
  • Contribute to special projects and processimprovement initiativesย 
  • Perform data cleanup, document management, and qualityย checks asย assignedย 
Qualifications

  • Are pursuing aย Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fieldย 
  • Are organized, detailoriented, and eager to learn in a fastpaced environmentย

  • Are proficient in Excel (basic formulas required; willingness to learn pivot tables & lookups)ย 
  • Can handle confidential information with maturity and discretionย

Ideally, you haveย 

  • Familiarity with accounting or finance coursework (introductory level)ย 
  • Exposure toย orย interest in QuickBooks Online or other accounting systemsย 
  • Interest in learning tools such as Investran/FIS, JP Morgan Access,ย CitiBusinessย Onlineย 
  • Interest in AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) for productivityย 
  • A desire to explore career paths in accounting, private equity, or investment operationsย
